Dr. Lac is an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago in the department of Educational Policy Studies. She earned her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. Prior to her graduate studies, she was a high school English teacher for eight years at a Title I school in Richmond, California. Her research focuses on how K12 students leverage youth participatory action research (YPAR) as a tool to create social change in their schools and society.
