Dropouts nudged into graduates
Denver Post May 27, 2008
A new Denver high school called the West Career Academy has recruited 63 dropouts to return to a program that will allow them to graduate. Two former Teach for America teachers, two Goodwill caseworkers, and a program manager run the program that connects with students outside of school, ensures their attendance, offers tailored curriculum, and allows for alternative schedules. The school celebrated ten new graduates last week.
