Literacy Debate -- Online, RU really reading?

As children and teenagers spend more time on the internet, literacy researchers argue over how much their online reading contributes to their literacy. Some argue that online reading skills will be among the most important skills for children to have and that time spent online develops those skills. Others argue that the type of reading done on line is not adequate to be the key to students' literacy and intellectual development.
