Study find gender gap in math is gone

Math scores show no gap for girls, study finds

New York Times  July 25, 2008

An national study funded by the National Science Foundation found that there is no gender gap in math scores.  After examining a variety of math scores among different groups of male and female students, the researchers found that the scores of girls equaled that of boys.  The researchers attribute the closing of the gender gap to more girls taking advanced math classes.
