NY: Paying students for test scores shows mixed results
Mixed results on paying city students to pass test
New York Times August 19, 2008
Preliminary results from a program that pays students for passing scores on Advanced Placement exams show that, when compared with past results, more students scored 5's on the exams, but fewer students scored 3's and 4's. The program is targeted at decreasing the racial gap among students taking and passing Advanced Placement exams. Full results will be announced in October.
