CO: Charter recognized for student achievement

KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy Wins Award

The Sunshine Peak Academy, a charter of the Knowledge is Power Program in the Denver Public Schools was recognized this week by the El Pomar Foundation as the top non-profit in Colorado.  The KIPP network of charter schools serves primarily low-income, minority students and features longer school days and school years and typically outperform district averages.
