CO: Largest district proposes performance pay system

Administrators and teacher-union leaders are submitting an application for economic stimulus funds to help pay for a pilot program that would alter the pay structure for the district by providing bonuses for teachers who improve students' academic experiences. The details of the program are still being worked out, and it is likely to differ from the Denver Public School's model that offers a complex cafeteria-style incentive structure.
