Faltis, Christian

Christian Faltis is a professor of bilingual education and applied linguistics at Arizona State University. His research interests include the study of bilingualism and the teaching of immigrant English learners in school. His most recent work includes Teaching English Learners and Immigrant Students in Secondary School (with Cathy Coulter, in press), Teaching English Language Learners in Elementary School Communities: A Joinfostering Approach (2006); Bilinguaphobia in the new millennium (with Cathy Coulter, 2005); and Adolescent Immigrant Students in U.S. Schools: Issues of Safe Learning Environments, Immigrant Experiences, and Successful School Settings (with Beatriz Arias and James Cohen, 2006).
