Caps on higher ed tuition increases considered

Panel stalls on tuition vote

 The Colorado Commission on Higher Education will vote Tuesday on the Department of Higher Education's recommendation to cap tuition increases at 9 percent for research institutions, 7 percent for other four year colleges, 5 percent for community colleges, and 5 percent for students eligible for financial aid at any institution. However, the Joint Budget Committee of the state legislature will vote Monday on the state's higher education budget.
