Nicole Novak, Ph.D., MSc is an Assistant Research Scientist in the University of Iowa Immigrant and Refugee Health and Wellbeing Research Group. Dr. Novak works on several projects related to the health and wellbeing of immigrants, including: implications of immigration enforcement raids for community health and wellbeing; social integration of immigrants in rural communities; health and health care outcomes for immigrants in areas experiencing rapid demographic change; and health implications of community-driven interventions to promote immigrant wellbeing, including locally-issued photo identification cards and immigration bond funds.
