Derek Gottlieb is an associate professor at the University of Northern Colorado’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. He is the president-elect of the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society, and he co-hosts Thinking in the Midst, a podcast about philosophy and action in education. Dr. Gottlieb studies school governance, accountability protocols, teacher-evaluation policies, and education funding. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, Phi Delta Kappan, and Education Next, among other places.
