CA Releases Plan to Help Sanctioned School Districts

California's education officials and Governor Schwarzenegger released plans to help the 97 school districts facing the stiffest sanctions for failing to meet improvement targets.  Most of the plan's focus is on curricular changes.  One-time assitance of $45 million is being offered to aid the districts against a backdrop of $4 billion in cuts in the proposed state budget.  Click here to see the Los Angeles Times story.
