MA: District to close elementary to close budget gap
Officials forge on with Groton school closure

The Groton school district is continuing with plans to close an elementary school to save an estimated $320,000 and close their budget gap of over half a million dollars. In an environment of community opposition, the elementary that served 220 pupils will be shuttered to avoid staffing cutbacks at the district.
