Embattled Brighton school agrees to changes

Denver Post  April 11, 2008

The Brighton School District has decided not to close Brighton Charter High School on the condition that test scores improve, two new members are added to the school's governing board, an accounting team of professionals who are familiar with charter schools is formed, and the teachers receive more professional development. The school has had a history of sexual misconduct with students, failure to report misconduct, and low achievement.
