A New York high school has developed a program to help increase involvement of immigrant parents in the school system by familiarizing them with the school system, including standardized testing, report cards and extracurriculuar programs. The outreach, funded by local non-profits, includes translators at meetings and involved a group of parents in structuring the content of the program.
