Study shows low-achievers making quicker gains than high-achievers

Report sees cost in some academic gains

A study released Wednesday by the Fordham Institute shows that students in the bottom ten percent of achievement have made greater gains than those in the top ten percent of achievement.  The report raises questions about whether the focus on reducing the achievement gap is resulting in a lack of challenge for high-achieving students.
