Study suggests long term benefits from career academies

Career programs stress college, too, and give students a leg up, study says

A long-term study of career academies, schools that combine job preparation and placement with college preparation, shows that eight years after graduation, graduates of career academies had significantly higher earnings and employment. The study, conducted by Manpower Demonstration Research Corporation, also revealed that the postive effects of the career academies were much greater for men than women.
