Report finds little gain from vouchers

A US Department of Education study of the District of Columbia school voucher program finds little or no difference in reading and math performance between students who received the vouchers and those who did not. The report on the two-year old program was mandated by Congress, which is holding hearings over the next few days to determine whether to continue funding the program.
