CA: UC system can refuse to accept Christian school classes

Court:  University of California can reject Christian school classes

A federal district court judge ruled that the University of California can refuse to accept certain courses in history and science taught at Christian high schools. A panel of UC experts said that a biology course failed to teach critical thinking and failed to teach the theory of evolution adequately.  A similar panel found that a history course failed to include modern methods for historical analysis.  The court said that the school system had a rational basis for rejecting the courses and that the decision was not based on animosity toward the religious beliefs reflected by the schools.
