DC: District to try cash incentives to improve student performance

The Washington, DC schools are piloting a program in 14 middle schools that will pay students up to $100 per month for attending class regularly and on time, completing homework, demonstrating good behavior and receiving good grades. The program is focused on middle school to try to establish good behavior patterns at a critical time in students' educational careers.
