Revamp shines "bright light" on tuition

The House of Representatives overwhemingly passed the first major revision to federal higher education funding in ten years. The bill increases restrictions on lenders, provides benefits to members of the military, simplifies the federal aid application process, increases Pell Grant amounts, and makes tuition and textbook costs more transparent to the public. The bill is expected to pass the Senate and be signed by the President.
