Charter schools network looks to grow with Romer at the Helm

The Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) plans to open another middle school, two elementary schools, and a high school in Denver to complete the K-12 program for its students. State Senator Chris Romer, who is also vice chairman of the Senate Education Committee, will take the lead in the expansion. The KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy has been recognized for the success of low-income and minority students in the school's rigorous college preparatory curriculum.
