US: Making reading a priority in southern states
Southern states urged to tackle adolescent literacy

A report released today at the annual meeting of the Education Writers
Association in Washington, called "A Critical Mission: Making Adoloecent Reading an Immediate Priority in SREB States," encourages states to devise a comprehensive set of policies to improve reading for middle and high school students.
