Wagma Mommandi is a PhD student in the Educational Foundations, Policy and Practice program at the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to coming to CU-Boulder, she was a science teacher in the District of Columbia Public Schools at the secondary level. Her research interests, stemming from her entry into the profession and time in an urban public school, center on urban school reform, underserved populations of students, and alternative teacher preparation programs with an emphasis on educational equity and diversity.
